Shifting into a healthier mindset: 3 Keys to wellness

The keys to staying consistent in your wellness journey.



One of the biggest mistakes made when people decide to go down the path of wellness, is that they forget that they have to shift their mindset around wellness. It takes growing and cultivating a positive and healthy mind, full of positive and healthy thoughts. Most people skip that part and end up falling short of their health goals. They are still living within the mindset that is unhealthy and carries unhealthy habits.


When it comes to transforming poor eating habits, it can take a lot of mental preparation and a shift in mindset in order to create a stable, healthy diet and lifestyle that you can enjoy.

You are shifting into a new perspective of how you view yourself and your body. Many people don't accomplish their health goals due to solely focusing on the results rather than the journey; and that journey comes with doing the inner work, and detaching from old thoughts, habits, and choices in order to cultivate and create this improved and transformed version of you. This is truly what it takes to achieve new goals.



1: Love yourself enough to take action


Consider asking yourself these questions....

  1. How much do you value your well-being?

  2. Are you worth a healthy diet and lifestyle? Why do you think so or not think so?

Making a positive transformation comes from self love. Love yourself enough to choose the healthier options, to hydrate your body, to cleanse your body of toxins, to make wise and healthy lifestyle changes. How much do you love yourself and is it enough to start taking action towards positive change?



2: Be your future self...NOW


The only way to experience a transformed future is to start becoming that version of yourself today. You can't expect to be super healthy and fit in a year if you never actually start. Look at it from the perspective of our present being our future, simultaneously. As you work towards positive transformation each day, in a year from now a.k.a "the future," you would have achieved or be close to achieving your health goals. The future is only a collection of multiple, on-going present moments, which is why if you want to reach a goal and become healthier, you have to do what your future self would do, but in the present moment.



"The present moment is the substance with which the future is made. Therefore, the best way to take care of the future is to take care of the present moment. What else can you do?”


3: Once you start, keep going


Starting new habits can be difficult, but it is best to take the journey day by day and step by step. You set the due dates, and you create the game plan for what you want to achieve and when, keeping in mind your why. Create things such as vision boards, post inspirational quotes and/or photos around the house to always have visual reminders of why you are on this path towards wellness.
