Do you acknowledge the life within?

The other day, as I sat with my eyes closed and still, I had the epiphany of how our insides are real… I know it sounds funny, but we ACTUALLY have living, functioning organs inside of our bodies. I feel as if we should all appreciate our bodies and our organs more, show them love and gratitude. Because we can't function without them. Showing gratitude and love to yourself and your body allows you to appreciate the little and big things that your organs do for you. The kidneys and liver help to keep your blood free of toxins; imagine toxins building up in your blood…doesn’t sound like a fun time.
We don’t tend to acknowledge the internal parts of us (until we feel them…). It’s like we forget that they exist, and since we cannot see them, we easily lose sight of them and the role they play in our lives, every second, and every moment.
Make it a mission to feed yourself foods that will nourish you and allow you to thrive in life. Begin to eat foods that will nourish you as a whole. Try to learn about the food that you are consuming, whether whole or processed.
When you notice yourself craving or being attracted to a particular food, try looking up the benefits, or disadvantages; both physical and energetic. Begin to build a relationship with your food, and learn a little bit about what it can do for you. Knowing this will make it easier for you to choose the healthier option and to raise your appreciation for your food.
Journal prompts:
In what ways can you show your body gratitude and appreciation?
What can you add to your diet that will nourish your whole body?
Assignment:
Pick an organ to focus on, learn a bit about what it does for your body, pick 2-3 foods that help it to thrive, and make a meal out of/ including those foods.
